"It Was Just An Accident" by Iranian director Jafar Panahi won the Palme d'Or top prize. Panahi now has the top prize at all three major European film festivals, after having got Berlin's Golden Bear for "Taxi" in 2015 and the Golden Lion at Venice for "The Circle" in 2000.

1st EU-Palestine High-Level Political Dialogue
The EU put on the table a package worth up to €1.6 billion designed to support the Palestinian Authority in a series of reforms and address the most urgent needs of the West Bank population. It is a three-year program until 2027, structured on three pillars: support for services for the population, support for the recovery and stabilization of the West Bank and Gaza, and support for the private sector.
